The collab. Our first drop and teaming up with Shaq Co.
Amongst the grinding of beans and steam wands whirring with smells of fresh coffee and bakery treats, I first met Shaq dishing out cups of morning glory to the local Kiama crowd at Becks. With a smile and an impressive dress sense we slapped hands and a collaboration of ideas flourished in a blink of an eye. Dinner. and Shaq Co. merged into a friendship of creativity and expression. Here’s a taste of our first collab.
‘The Jacket’
Made with love from our friends in Sweden, ‘The Jacket’ is techy, cozy and stylish quarter zip, hooded jacket. Made with a tech polar fleece and nylon contrast panels on the chest, around the hood, neck opening and side entry pockets.
Utilizing key visual elements from Shaq Co.’s Visual language like the purple bar logo as zip pulls, and Shaq’s 3 little rose signature printed on a nylon chest panel enveloping a hidden chest pocket. Purple cinch toggles at the hood and bottom hem talk back to the Shaq Co. logo zip pulls and tie everything together. The fit is boxy allowing you to layer up underneath if needed.
‘The Bea-lly’
= Beanie x Baly (balaclava). We cooked up the ‘The Bea-lly’ concept looking at our logos and visual identities across both brands. Shaq Co.’s balaclava logo is iconic and I knew we had to do something special to incorporate it, so we created a real one, one that doubles as a beanie. With a removable velcro patch hiding the holes that make a balaclava. Fold down the beanie cuff, peal off the patch and you’ve got a face warmer than toast. Also made by our good friends in Sweden using a lush double layered fleece fabrication. You’re welcome.
